The Cubs' pitching staff dominated, allowing only two baserunners while racking up eleven strikeouts. Chicago broke the scoreless tie with two runs in the bottom of the eighth, securing the victory and the second game of the series. The Reds now aim to bounce back in the series finale, hoping to win the rubber game and return to a .500 record.
